Methodology
To ensure the whole translation process runs smoothly from quote to final delivery here are some things to consider:
- Text preparation: Ideally, the text is written with translation in mind. Details such as phone numbers, currencies and URLs should be tailored to the German market. To be able to process your file with my translation software it should have an editable format.
- Deadline: Let me know when you need the translation delivered. In general, the daily throughput of a translator is estimated at around 2,000 words. I’m used to working against tight deadlines and can offer you a fast turnaround.
- Reference materials: Any approved reference translations, glossaries or style guides will help me to make my translations consistent with existing documents.
- Contact details: Ideally, I will be able to get in touch directly with the author should there be any queries. Who should I deliver to and in which format? With all the right phone numbers and email addresses at hand I’m perfectly set up.
